OUR STORY
Before founding Primary Painting & Drywall in 2015, Joel Botello had already spent years working hands-on in the construction and painting industry. Today, with more than 20 years of experience, the lessons and skills he developed in the field continue to shape how he approaches every project. Alongside his trusted team, Joel remains focused on thoughtful preparation, attention to detail, quality craftsmanship, and providing clients with a professional experience from start to finish.
Marisol Botello, Joel’s wife, has played an integral role in building and growing Primary Painting & Drywall. With a degree in Business Finance from DePaul University and a background in finance and accounting, she oversees the business operations behind every project—from finances, invoicing, and administrative matters to client communications and marketing. Her oversight helps ensure the company stays organized, responsive, and accountable, giving clients the confidence of working with a professionally managed business from the first estimate through project completion.
As a family-owned business, Joel and Marisol value the trust their clients place in them and are committed to providing a professional, attentive experience from the first conversation to the final walkthrough.
Today, Joel and Marisol run Primary Painting & Drywall, Inc. while raising their three daughters in Elgin.
