Our Story

Primary Painting and Drywall, Inc. is a family owned business in the northwest Chicago suburbs.

Joel Botello, owner of Primary Painting and Drywall, Inc. is a veteran painter with over 20 years of experience.  While working in the construction industry in the early 2000’s, Joel’s leadership and determination for attention to detail led him to create a more streamlined, efficient, and client-first experience.  He established Primary Painting and Drywall, Inc. in 2015 with the vision to provide exceptional quality and high end painting services.

Joel’s wife, Marisol Botello, has been along side Joel in an administrative management role since the inception of the business.  Marisol graduated from DePaul University in 2006 with a Bachelor’s in Business Finance.  In 2019, after working in the finance and accounting industry, Marisol, joined Joel full-time. 

Joel and Marisol currently reside in Elgin with their three daughters.
